Main purpose of the role:

As HR and Payroll Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that transactional processes relating to HR and payroll are delivered efficiently and effectively and are compliant with legislation. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about ethical HR practices and is eager to contribute to Bee Ethical’s sustained growth.

 

Key responsibilities/Tasks:

HR Manager

·       Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practices to mitigate risks and uphold ethical HR standards.

·       Continuously monitor, review and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with current legislation.

·       Employee relations – ensure managers adhere to policies and procedures when conducting investigations and disciplinary hearings, performance reviews, flexible working requests and other employee relations cases that may arise.

·       Provide expert advice to managers and staff on various HR issues and policies.

·       Negotiate terms and conditions of employment with staff to ensure a fair and mutually beneficial working relationship.

·       Utilise HR systems to access, input and compile data ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

·       Support the recruitment co-ordinator with recruitment campaigns, ensuring seamless onboarding of new team members.

·       Work in partnership with the Head of People and Culture to identify individual and team development needs.

Payroll Manager

·       Calculate wages and salaries based on employees’ worked hours, factoring in commission payments, expenses and overtime compensation

·       Issue employees’ wages by electronic transfer

·       Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them

·       Prepare and issue tax forms and related documentation, assisting employees in completing them. Deduct tax and insurance payments accurately.

·       Address and resolve employee issues related to timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters, ensuring employee satisfaction and timely resolution.

·       Bank Record Management: Make necessary changes to employee bank records to facilitate accurate payment processing through direct deposits.

Desirable Skills and qualifications

·       CIPD Level 5 qualified, ideally a member of CIPD

·       Practical experience as an HR and Payroll Manager or similar

·       Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law and regulations

·       Experienced with Microsoft Office

·       Familiar with using and navigating SharePoint

·       Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business

·       Problem-solving capabilities, approaching challenges with practical and logical solutions.

·       Proven experience in payroll administration.

·       Confidentiality and ethics in handling sensitive payroll information.

For the biggest single charity lottery in the UK

The Veterans’ Foundation (Veterans’ Lottery), are currently expanding their face to face fundraising team in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The team requires a Team Leader to work alongside the Director of Fundraising to grow and manage a team of Fundraisers. If you have Team Leader Experience or you’re an experienced fundraiser, we want to talk to you!

You’ll get support from the Director of Fundraising, Recruitment Co-Ordinator, Venue Co-Ordinator and In House Trainer, which enables you to focus on building and getting the best out of your team.

What you’ll get from us:

· £18 per hour, minimum of 30 hours per week
